Highlights of PMTS 2023

In April 2023, Boston Centerless personnel attended the Precision Machining Technology Show, PMTS, that was held in Cleveland, Ohio. PMTS consists of various exhibits, product and equipment demonstrations, and numerous educational and training sessions called “Tech Talks.” As a leader in the manufacturing industry, Boston Centerless was a featured speaker in the Tech Talk portion of PMTS and had a booth for attendees to learn more about our precision machining, material and supply chain capabilities.

Boston Centerless’ PMTS Tech Talk on Skilled Material

The classroom-style Tech Talk sessions during PMTS are focused on helping attendees grow their business. During Boston Centerless’ Tech Talk, our CCO, Laurent Cros, explained how bar stock quality affects Swiss-machining and lights out processes. The presentation provided an overview of the physical attributes of precision bar and how the various attributes impact the machining of the bar. The talk also explained how a small investment in better raw materials yields dividends in the end, offsetting the higher incremental raw material costs.
